Dame Margaret Drabble, Lady Holroyd DBE FRSL (born 5 June 1939), is an English novelist, biographer, and critic. She is Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
With her third novel, The Millstone (1965) she won the 1966 John Llewellyn Rhys Memorial Prize, for her subsequent work, Jerusalem the Golden was awarded the James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 1967.
