Nelson Mandela: Courage and fear
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.
The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela; born Mvezo, Oost-Kaap, 18 July 1918 - Johannesburg, 5 December 2013) is a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary and politician who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999 and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993. He was imprisoned for 27 years for his armed fight against apartheid. In South Africa he is considered the "Father of the Fatherland". In his home land he is also known as Madiba, his name of the Thembu Kings clan.
